They chose surrogacy after a decade-long journey to build their family, and couldn't be happier. Meet their beautiful daughter, Luna Diane Aida Shami, born on July 11, 2018.  We’d like to thank Tamryn for her compassion, beauty, and openness in sharing her surrogacy story with the rest of the Worldwide Surrogacy community. Read her first-hand account of her surrogacy journey as an Intended Parent below: *Our journey, our family, our hearts and home are complete. Introducing the Shami family of 5!* *Life can be filled with many unexpected challenges: ones that break you, and ones that make you stronger. For us, it’s been my personal struggle with fertility.* *Our story and our commitment to grow our family has been in our hearts for a long time. When you’re faced with fertility challenges—the losses, the heartache, the hormones, losing a piece of yourself every time—it can be challenging, but invaluable, to find strength in the things that make you happy.* *We’ve had quite a journey. It all started 10 years ago, when we wanted to start our family. When we were faced with the challenge of continued losses, we decided that we were meant for a different path.* *The journey of surrogacy has blessed our hearts and lives with an amazing woman who have given us the incredible gift of being a mom and dad, and giving us the ability to finally build our family. * *We will forever be thankful to these amazing women who have given up so much so families like ours can grow our families and have our hearts filled with the love children bring.* *We had the amazing opportunity to have one last shot at building our family: a single embryo was left, and we had to give it a chance—and did our surrogate ever.* *On July 11, 2018 at 12:32am, we welcomed our sweet little Luna Diane Aida Shami into our family.
