In 2017, Molly was working at a Connecticut fertility clinic when Henrik and Balazs arrived from Amsterdam. The couple were researching their family building options—and coincidentally, Molly was doing the same. "I thought, 'I have a uterus, I'm done with my own babies, and I want to be able to help someone too,'" Molly says. She started researching surrogacy, eventually filling out a [surrogacy application](https://app.worldwidesurrogacy.org/) to begin her first journey. When Molly was approved to become a gestational surrogate, her very first match just happened to be Henrik and Balazs. Unfortunately, they weren't able to pursue their journey together because she was working at the same fertility clinic where they were creating their embryos. The trio parted ways, but they never forgot each other. Molly completed her first surrogacy journey in the summer of 2018, delivering a healthy baby girl for a couple in Belgium. Her experience throughout her journey [inspired her to join the Worldwide Surrogacy team](https://learn.worldwidesurrogacy.org/about-us/our-team/molly-corcoran) shortly thereafter. Meanwhile, Henrik and Balazs were facing a few challenges. Unfortunately, despite the average embryo transfer success rate ([roughly 40% on](https://www.sartcorsonline.com/rptCSR_PublicMultYear.aspx?reportingYear=2014) average), they experienced four failed embryo transfers with their surrogate. That's when Molly came back into their lives. It was a Sunday, a few days after the latest failed transfer, and the couple were evaluating their options. Balazs says that's when they remembered their original surrogate match. "We were thinking it may not be the typical way, but why not ask Molly?" Balazs and Henrik quickly typed up an email to [Jen McArthur, our Director of Case Management](https://learn.worldwidesurrogacy.org/about-us/our-team/jen-mcarthur). “Maybe it sounds weird, and I don’t even know how we should do this," Balazs typed, "but maybe we could ask Molly if she would be up for it?”  At 3am, Balazs woke up to Molly who had sent a friend request on Facebook. From there, their friendship—and their lifelong bond—became "Facebook Official" the three say, laughing. Watch Molly, Henrik, and Balazs's story below.
